Hello everyone,
I've been teaching Kyo a few things over the past months we've had her. One thing that is adorable, but she doesn't get 100% is dancing!

She sure tries though! She'll say the word "Daaaaence" and bob her head, but she doesn't seem to understand that music has rhythm! It's too funny. she looks at me like I have 4 heads when I keep going in time.

Does your conure dance to music? or just to the rhythm of their own beat like Kyo? :p

Haha, that's too funny! I can just picture Kyo dancing away "like nobody's watching" and having a great time. Peanut has NO sense of rhythm, or even dancing, for that matter. Maybe someday!

When she gets into it it is so funny! I think I got her on video once, but as soon as she sees my phone she must destroy it.

Found the clip! haha beware my annoying voice...

Sheldon will dance to the Star Trek Enterprise theme song.. Too funny. he wont do it alone on his stand but on our finger he dances away.. no rhythem either, but he sure tries. When we get the camera out he quits. We'll have to try and sneak in a video.

Tiki is 6 months now and no rhythm whatsoever yet, LOL. S/he recently started to tap his beak on things. It is interesting watching them developmentally. I remember when we first got him home, he was so young that it took a few days before he knew how to hold onto his food with his foot.

Sheldon will tap on his sleep cage. Knocking,,,like he's waiting for someone to answer. Kind of funny in a way, but it gets loud in a quiet room.

Foo has particular faves, she loves The Cramps and the theme song from tru blood.

She has zero rhythm. I have showed her pictures of Snowball to show her that some birds do indeed dance well. But ya..two left feet and all with Foo.

All of my birds LOVE the whistle theme song to Kill Bill. Especially when it comes to a climax about 2/3rd of the way in. They freak every time (kind of like kids that know a scary scene is coming and anticipate the fun of fear). But rhythm, not so much.

while I have not had her long enough or worked with Tequila enough to start dancing, she will dance occasionally to the beat of music. I tried recording this however somehow she knew that something was different. One of these times I will get her in the act. but yes I think my Sun Conure has a sense of rhythm.
