Yes, Ant, it's a spray that's supposed to deter a bird from plucking his/her own feathers. :)

Thanks...
Guess I am not that blonde then :D

Could a human make use of it as well, thus us not pulling out our hair?

No clue if it works! But keep us posted if you try to use it.

let us know how it works

Rosie's been molting very heavily and started plucking blood feathers from her elbow. I ordered the Soother topical spray which is supposed to superficial itching and provide relief for skin inflammation and irritation.
It seems to have helped some, at first I was finding up to 4 plucked blood feathers. Now I'm only finding the occasional blood feather every few days or more. Only downside is that it makes her feathers greasy.

I will surely let everyone know if this stuff works

We have a similar product on the market here in NZ called stop pick spray..
I was concerned about it leaving an oily residue on the feathers, luckily i dont think there were any problems..
I had a couple of suns handed to me that were pluckers.
I felt as though it was great as a deterrent but the root of the problem needed to be dealt with and for the suns it was being in a house with indoor smokers, diet and boredom from being in the spare room with little or no interaction.
I thought i would give the spray a taste to see what it tastes like..its like sucking on the end of a piece of aloe vera, needless to say i only tried it the once!! YUCK!! :p
Its definitely not a solution to the problem.. just an aide in breaking the habit

Goodluck :)

The success is mixed, it works for some people and doesn't at all for others. There are two basic problems with it:
1. You can only use it for a few months (it even says so on the bottle) why? Because...
2. it's a tranquilizer so you are not eliminating the problem, you are only making the bird forget it for a while

Personally, I've been very successful just putting them at a good diet, keeping them at a solar schedule, giving them good lighting, allowing them freedom and the compay of other birds.

ok I talked to the lady at kings cages today and I was wrong you do have to mix some with filtered or distilled water and spray on him and the shampoo you don't mix with water you just use like regular shampoo and pour a cap full at a time and lather him up , this has to stay on him for about 8 minutes the you rinse it off , I see my hubby helping with the shampoo's , Smokey will never let me do the shampoo by myself and gauruntee I will get cussed out lol , I sprayed some alovera and water on him today before I went to work and he called me all kinds of bad names , you don't even want to know omg he knows way to many bad words

LoL....your bird cracks me up....He really sounds like a character....I know I laugh about the stuffs my birds say, but thank god they don't cuss....
