thank you again folks, I have ordered a sisal rope bungee and a new sandy perch.
Nofearengineer I am very sorry you lost Gandalf XX

Abby loves her bouncy boing I got her a swing and she gets on the side and chews on the toys that are attached but she does not sit on the perch part.
She is so active climbing all over her cage I am not worried about her not getting exercise. As you can see in my avatar she flaps her wings like that several times a day and stretches her wings and legs like a ballet dancer.. LOL..

That sounds exactly like Sterretjie! Abby and Sterretjie will make good friends.:D

It is all about trail and error really. What one likes the other hates and we just try and try until we find the one that our parrot loves. If he shows absolutely no interest in it then you can 90% of times accept that he will never like it.

When you receive the new toys then you must 'teach' him to play with it. You must play with it as well and show him how much fun it is. Of course you mustn't go swinging on it thou.:D

It looks like this one.:D

I have the same one for Rocky and he bounces up and down on it. It's quite comical

LOL Mike! I would vote for them too ;) So Ant and Mishy....Britain or the USA????

I think all our fids agree that as long as they have something they can build up momentum on they are happy :D.

Mishka had exactly the same one, lasted her a a bit longer than a week.
She chewed it to ribbons.
Perhaps birds "teeth" forever LoL
I guess these ones are better for smaller birds.

Hie-hie-hie poor you!:D Then I can count myself lucky for a change. Thank you Sterretjie for not eating your bungee. :D

She has lots of other swings but she only sits on them - never swings, but I think she is a bit off balance because of her leg, that is maybe why.

Gosh...all of this swing talk is bringing back a lot of memories...there is nothing quite like listening to a happy Grey, swinging upside down on a swing, while emitting the "Grey Scream."

I am sure they would be great friends... also I was searching Ants vids and saw Mishka doing the same thing... I guess birds can be cousins...

We call that yoga, but you have to say it like "yooooooooooga". When she's flirting, Jade will also lift both wings up to see the lovely orage sherbet feathers on the under part. We call that Pretty Wing.

I will have to say Yoooooooooga to her the next time I see her do it..

Having a swing really depends on your birds personality. ZoZo never wanted to get on her swing even with me trying multiple ways to introduce her to it. I eventually just hung it flat against the outside of her cage and she had infinately more fun clicking it against the metal bars than she ever did swinging on it.
