I'm (still!) developing a kindergarten parrot presentation and in it, say that the Hyacinth is the largest parrot species and Parrotlet the smallest. I wondered if anyone here actually owns a Hyacinth, and might be willing to take a high-quality photo of him/her for me? As a graphic designer by trade, I am ethically against using Google photos (most of which are not creative commons) and most web images are 72 dpi (dots per inch) anyway (240+ dpi needed for print). Please send a message my way and I can tell you what I'm kind of looking for in the picture.
Unfortunately I don't have a hy, but just want to inform you that the parrotlets are only the smallest New World parrots. The pygmy parrots are the smallest parrots in the world
Wow, KR, that is so cool! Jealous!! I am actually going to visit the National Aviary next week and will photograph their Hyacinth while I'm there, so I'm good now.
