Do you love your bird enough to 'taste test' his food? LOL!

I made Percy some treaty biscuits tonight - mashed banana & pumpkin, dash of honey, egg, pumpkin, flax, sesame and sunflower seeds, nuts, chopped dried banana pieces, cinnamon spice ....and chopped pellets. Yes, I tasted them when they came out the oven! Not bad at all...except for when you bite into a pellet! LOL! :32:

yep, i was curious and tried some yogurt dipped treats from the petstore lol werent TOO bad. the pellet part in them had a grainy aftertaste that wasnt so pleasant lol

and ive eaten the birds pellets before to try to convince them to eat them. YUCK! lol

Yes I have tasted the pellets and they are certainly yucky. It was like eating cardboard with a grainy texture. That is the reason my Fids eat fresh foods 98% of the time.

Percy doesn't love his pellets, that's for sure :) But I know its good for him so it is always on offer. He usually nibbles a few before bedtime for some reason. Maybe because I take away his fresh food dinner before I start the bedtime routine.

Absolutely everything. I feel like one of those tasters for spoiled royalty. On the upside, I eat much healthier..pellets and all lol!

i have tried cooper's pellets. the taste wasnt horrible(think what you want about me :p), but it was very dry and grainy like eating sand sort of. and obviously i have tried all the fruits and veggies he eats! we both eat them as a chop them up for him!

Definitely. :) I even taste each new bag of Vetafarm Pellets. They must taste good -_- I admit, i like the taste of the nectar pellets :p

Yup. We put Kiwi on a pellet-based diet (at the recommendation of the vet) when we first got him, which he refused to eat. After about a week of him refusing the pellets, I tried one and found out in a hurry why he wouldn't touch them! They taste like a mix if stale corn chips and cardboard. He gets seed and fruit in the morning and a cooked grains mix with veggies at night.

I have tried the grains mix, and it isn't bad (just bland). He doesn't really eat a lot of the seed, but I want him to at least have something non-perishable to snack on that doesn't taste disgusting. He is a ravenous monster when it comes to his fruit and veg (I lovingly call him the produce destroyer lol), and he will take anything you'll give him off the table.

Yup tried some mash today mot to bad lol

I try all my pets food before they get..with the exception of the raw meat I feed my dog, though it is human grade and I have cooked it and tried it.

I tried my last sweet potato/banana mash bread that ended up like a cake because it looked delish. I wasn't sweet and wasn't my cup of tea. But it is Chiquis. So I'll have to remember how I made it once I run out.
I am not a veggie or a fruit fan. I eat a few of various ones, that's it. So their chop would NEVER appeal to me. Lol.

I have been trying new veggies thanks to Pepper. I'm buying them - I may as well as try them. So far I realized I like sprouts.
