Do conures eat more during their molt?

Guava, our GCC, has been eating non-stop lately. I'm wondering if this has anything to do with the fact that she's molting and needs more nutrients/energy, etc.?

She's about a year and 1 month of age.

They might. I actually had to give both Pete and Merlin extra pellets today and they are both molting.
