DIY Shower Perch (VERY easy)

JerseyWindy could you please give me the lengths of each pipe you cut?
Thanks for such a great fix to bathing for my 7 month old Amazon.

Aww the images aren't working for me :(

They aren't working for me either anymore, Kinny. They used to be in my Imageshack account, which was hacked into weeks ago. ALL images are gone that I ever uploaded on there. :(

Here you go, I uploaded them to Photobucket:

This is awesome!! Will be my next project! I think I already have everything except the suction cups and the stainless screws...thanks for posting!!

Thank you! I made this shower perch from your directions and photos and it came out perfect! I did add an additional suction cup, but that was more for me than Loki (CAG)

I hadn't considered using it on the window like that, another great idea!

How do you know which Vet Wrap to buy for the bird shower perch? I have african grey. Shower perch size you sent would not work for my bird. Any ideas what the best Shower perch would be her's just fell apart.

Just up the size and add more suction cups! You can get nice suction cups at Hobby Lobby! Go to their website first and get a 40% off anything coupon. Can be used over and over!

what size pvc pipes did you use?
what size are the screws?
did you put the screws from the suction cup into the pvc or the other way?
do you lose suction when putting the screws through the suction cup?

See post 1 of this thread!
The screws go into the back of the suction cups, or do as I did, cut slits in the PVC caps.

I didn't see a size on the screws.
what do you mean that you cut slits in the pvc caps?

The suction cups come with hooks that you remove. This leaves a button on the back side.
I then slotted the PVC tubing to slide this button on to, I didn't even bother with end caps.

Here is what the suction cups look like:

Do a Google search on DIY parrot shower perch. You will find every level of complexity you can imagine!

I just came across this idea, quite simple, BUT, you must find a way to do away with the open hooks!

Hi there!
I'm sorry to bother you but we wanted to put together a shower perch per your instructions and I have a few questions about the screws for the suction cups.

Do you screw the suction cups to the pvc end-cap going from the top of the suction cup(on the back of the perch) down into the end-cap or do you drill a hole and insert the screw into front of the the end-cap going into the top of the suction cup?

Also, in a response to a post you mentioned "pivot holes" and I can't figure out what they're for and where they go.

I'm not mechanically inclined but I really want this because all the perches I've seen online appear to be too narrow and I'd like Bambam to have room to move about w/o falling and also be able to flap his wings etc...

Thank you for the tutorial and any add'l clarification you can provide. Both are greatly appreciated!
