With some time on my hands this morning I figured I'd try and make a foraging tube for my B & G Macaw Niko.
Here are some of the things I bought: Piece of 3" PVC pipe, 2 endcaps, 2 assorted elbows, some stainless steel chain, stainless quick links.
Items needed for assembly: Pliers, stainless eye screw, drill, saw, hole saw.
Drill a small pivot hole before attaching the eye screw
I used 1 1/8th" hole saw. For smaller birds you can make smaller holes, and definitely get smaller PVC.
When I was done with the assembly, I ripped up some paper towels, wrapped Nutriberries in them and stuffed the tube with them.
Rather easy to make, inexpensive, and it was an instant hit with Niko
