Hey guys, I figured I'd ask other known animal lovers about this one. Also just emailed my vet and a nearby wildlife rescue to figure out my options...
There's a bunny in our neighborhood who seems to have neurological issues. It could be an injury--I've kept my distance, for obvious reasons, but he stands with a weird tilt. He does seem to be able to run fine, which is why I don't think it's an injury, but he has a wobbly stance and isn't as afraid of people as he should be.
Basically, I think he's like a walking snack for the neighborhood kitties and coyotes and whatever else. I know that's a reality of being an outdoor animal, but it breaks my heart a bit.
I have considered live trapping, but idk if the wildlife rehab will be able to help, since a neurological issue isn't really rehab-able. Again, it might not be that, but if they rerelease and it IS that, I don't think he'll last long. On the other hand, I'm not sure that me bringing him indoors for a long term solution would really improve his quality of life... I mean, I generally don't think it's good or right to bring wild animals inside.
Just looking for some wisdom and perspective. Thanks
