I understand that it’s recommended to get parrots good sleep. I’ve been advised to cover my parrots so they get better sleep. I do follow directions. I promise.

Your patient disagrees, and wants to argue the recommendation šŸ˜‚

He pulls the sheet off frequently 😳

Unfortunately, I emphasize with you! My CAG disagrees with her bedtime. I am allowed to cover cage at lights out. But cover must remain high enough so she can keep ckeck on me! If not, she pulls it off and chews holes in it, one thread at a time. Some nights she insists on staying up past her bedtime. I hear her munching on pellets, foraging toys, calling me, dogs, cats, daughter or my sister. This being done in near dark. It's like she agrees with the rules until she doesn't. It's worse when the days are noticeably longer or shorter. But, if it's mid-day and she feels like it, I get told to turn the lights off and go to sleep. That's my que to vacate area or move very softly for her to take a nap. Then there's the nights she tells me, go to the bathroom, turn off the lights and goodnight! I think it's a form of control. A typical too smart toddler attitude that most parrots have. Such is the fun of having a feathered master.
