Tuesday evening Sweet Pea was hanging out upstairs in our bedroom with my husband, as he was watching tv. I went downstairs to attend to laundry in the laundryroom... I soon heard Sweet Pea's voice calling and it got closer, so I knew she was looking for me. I hoped my husband would get up and go get her. I closed the door to the laundry room so she wouldn't come in there --- she loves the laundry room and to go behind the washer and dryer.
So when I finished folding the clothes in the dryer, I took them upstairs and noticed Sweet Pea was not with my husband and he was still laying on our bed watching tv. We went downstairs to see where she is was.....
We found her in the kitchen, sitting on a perch inside her "kitchen" cage that sits on top of the counter. She was saying "want some food?" "yum, yum". What a cute, adorable little birdie!!
She is fully flighted and can easily fly from the floor up to the counter if she wants to. But she's never gone into the kitchen on her own before and gotten into her cage. (We keep a small cage on the kitchen counter where she can be with us during meal times.)
