Curry the Indian Ringneck
So I ordered one on Amazon this week and despite saying that it will be here next week it came yesterday! The other half and I loved it along with Curry. It was definitely a fun experience taking Curry out with us, especially since we feel bad for leaving him at home all day while we work. I originally just wanted a harness but I tell ya this definitely is the way to go due to people that are a little curious. It also seemed like Curry loved the attention as well! This one is a medium and I must say it is built great.

Well you convinced me. Luckily, they make these about 2 miles from where I work, so I am going to the factory at lunchtime to get mine. Actually they are making mine this morning! Salty will be so happy that he can now work under the car with me this weekend, and do all the other chores I have planned for Sat and Sun.
Lets see if he tears this one to shreds, like he did the cheap cat carrier the shop threw into the deal when I bought him. That one lasted 3 trips to the vet before Salty chewed around the seams and had an escape hole.

Wish me luck, and of course I will give a totally unbiased report to the board by Sunday sometime, after we have used it for the weekend.

Salty sez: This better be good

I keep looking for a used one for my Macaw. Just can't afford a new one. I have not seen or read of anyone that did not like them .

Send us pic's Al

Wrench where are you from? I'm out by Stony Brook. Originally from Queens. Had I know that they're this close I would have just ordered from them instead of Amazon.

I got my Pac-o-bird for Monty very gently used and it was a great purchase, don't think im ever going to regret it. Monty loves going out in it, he talks and yells and has a jolly old time when we go out. Very we'll made, awesome for going anywhere.

The pak-o-bird has been an invaluable investment for Kiwi! He loves going out in it during the summer. I hope Curry enjoys his as much as our boy does:)

I had never heard of this!

I'll be watching and reading and thinking. The only worry I have is of the possibility (remote, I admit) that the whole thing could be crushed. The carrier I have now is metal and heavy plastic, and it is very safe, but HEAVYYYYYYY and awkward.

Thanks for telling me about it!

There is metal within the frame of this and there are support bars for it. It seems extremely safe to me and several other people.

Second outing was a success! Trying to figure out a better way to line the bottom of the cage cause I can't imagine the velcro is gonna be all that reliable in the long run.

Go for it! Update on the water bottle. It came and Curry likes it. The spout isn't the typical ball one but a little tiny rod that you push down to get water.

We have a bottle (like a hamster bottle with a little valve) but I don't think Bacca uses it. I just throw a chunk of apple in one of the bowls (pidgeon chow in the other) and that seems to keep her hydrated for the trip.
