Critter nation cage?

Would the critter nation(double unit) work for caique? I have one in excellent condition, half inch bar spacing, and it's very roomy! I don't see any problems arising by using this cage for a bird, but I thought I'd check with you guys.

Noted that Critter Nation offers several different cages. Some with platforms at different levels, some that are side by side, etc...

As a general statement; as long as the bar spacing is small enough that your parrot will not get its head stuck, it should be fine. Please remember that you will want to added natural wood perches and feeding bowls that do not sit on the bottom of the cage.

The platforms could be a pain to clean.

Being unfamiliar with the product, my first question would be, what is it made of? I looked at a couple of listings online and couldn't find any reference to materials. Is is metal? Powder-coated? Birds have metal toxicity issues that are not a problem for other small animals.

I saw on another thread that someone actually contacted the company with the very same question, and confirmed it was bird friendly.

It is the model most commonly used for sugar gliders. I believe the dimensions are 3'Hx2'Dx3'L, so nice and roomy. All platforms are removable, so plenty of room for toys, perches, and feeding dishes.

That may have been my post, I contacted the company and they said it was made form the same material they used in bird cages. My parrotlets live in the top, and budgies in the bottom where they are separated and have done fine The only thing I would keep an eye on is the bar spacing, which may make it harder for a caique to climb around with their bigger beaks.
