I promised videos...so I have a bunch:D He decided to go a little crazy tonight so we got a few really good videos of him acting like a nut:rolleyes: The first 7 are him sitting with me on the floor while I organized the food delivery. If you don't want to go through all those no one will blame you:p The last 4 are of him acting like a total nut.

There are a couple Ivory shots thrown in for good measure:D

These were from later tonight. We threw a towel down on the table and he decided it was the enemy. He spent the next 20 minutes or so acting like a crazy bird:eek:

He did take a piece of pretzel from my mother without attacking her so thats good! He still doesn't like them approaching him when I'm with him or he is in his cage or if he is on the table but I had put him on the couch:) So apparently sometimes when he is on the couch its okay to approach... Last night I had him on the couch with me and he would walk up slowly to my mother and act like everything was all good. Then when he got like 8 inches from her he would give himself away by starting to fluff up:rolleyes: I had to pick him up by the body and he was totally okay with it to get him away from her. So apparently I'm allowed to pretty much do what I want so far to him:cool:

I don't think you read that right mother.... I said it was an act when he was acting like everything was all good. Are you saying everything is all good and you're going to take him out of his cage tomorrow....

No.... he was acting crazy.... not an act, hes certified nuts! And his mother had him tested :)

Ah you were talking about the top part not the bottom paragraph. He's not nuts he's just a little energetic...

Oh my goodness they are both amazing. Lol. folger always has me giggling!

So cute and funny! You're doing so well with him you should be proud of yourself :D

:18::18::18::18::18:

Folger is just way tooooooooo cute!!!! He had me laughing good here....That's one thing that I LOVE about smaller Cockatoos, they're such little clowns..... :)

Folger is such a happy boy with you! Such funny videos of him.

I love that crazy bird!!! He looks happy in his new home.

I love me some Folger videos! He is such an awesome guy & is doing so well with you:)

What an awesome boy. I'd love to get a bare-eyed or a goffins one day, when I have the room and patience for the energy and noise!! Hehe. Love the updates, I'm glad he's doing so well. He seems to love hopping up onto your arm. :)
I am curious though: Do you always wear sleeves as a sort of protection? Or are you just like me and enjoy long sleeves always? Haha. At first I thought it may have been to hide hands, but since he enjoys scratches I guess that theory is out the window. Hehe. He's such a happy boy :)

Thanks:D He is a crazy little clown! I'm glad everyone thinks he looks like a happy guy! He actually has down feathers coming in right now in a couple different spots:jumping40

I'm not sure where he got the name Folger. He came with the name when he came to the shelter and I'm not sure why his previous family named him that or which family really. He says his name all the time so it could have been one of his first owners that named him that for all we know:)

Thanks Sterling! I have always worn hoodies...all the time. In summer one would see me wearing jeans and a hoodie most of the time when I was in high school! It has only changed recently for the summer but I still wear hoodies non stop in winter. But I will admit to pulling on a hoodie specifically when dealing with Folger. For some reason getting my hand bit doesn't bother me as much as the idea of my arm being bitten:rolleyes: I have started rolling up the sleeves of my hoodie when dealing with him. The more we trust each other the less likely I am to wear barriers:D He has generally been trusted near my upper chest region more but he still just wigs so much when my parents enter a room that I don't trust him on the shoulder. He hasn't bitten me since he got home just a pressure nip or two to tell me he doesn't like something so its likely I won't feel the hoodie is needed soon:white1:

I don't blame you at all.. long sleeves/hoodies are my favourite, year round. They're jsut so roomy and comfy! XD
I agree on the shouldering; he seems pretty unpredictable at times, and he might not even mean to hurt you if he did bite. Better safe than sorry! I don't plan on shouldering my Eclectus either. He can sit in my lap and on my hands/arms but I have too many piercings, and glasses to trust my birds on my shoulders.. it's just *too* enticing for them hehe.
Keeping an eye out for updates and videos like always! hehe.

Great videos!!! love hearing his voice :) The only one that talks of my Toos is my Rb2.Just curious ,do you think their anything like Goffins ?

From what I've heard about the goffins they are pretty similar to the bare eye. I met one at the shelter and he was pretty quiet but I've heard they can be real clowns too. I've noticed the bare eyes seem quiet overall and don't mind spending some time on their own. The goffin was pretty small though! I don't think he was much bigger then my sun.

One of the things I've noticed is that Folger is very aware of tensions or the generally atmosphere. At the shelter he was just always wound up while the goffin didn't care as long as it didn't directly involve him.

Goffins are quiet birds? Lol, no one ever told Alfie that. He may be small, but he could give a macaw a run for its money when he gets going. He "knows" when my dad gets home from work, and likes to let the rest of the neighborhood know 15-20 minutes in advance every evening! My dad can hear him down the street "greeting him" in the summer when he has the truck window down:52: I've always heard the bare eyes are a little less mischievous and a little lower volume than goffins, so you might've lucked out with Mr. Folger:D Cockatoos are really smart too. Just wait until Folger settles in a bit, I bet he will love trick training.

Lol I didn't say goffins were just that our two bare eyes were! If ivory was a screamer i know people down the street would be able to hear her going! So far when Folger wants to be loud he says hello in a screaming voice lol which he can't seem to do as loud as an actually scream.
