I am almost 16 weeks pregnant (as I'm sure most of you know by now) and yesterday evening when i went to the toilet, there were a few blood clots in the bowl. I started getting some bad cramps for about an hour and then they eased off. Haven't had any more until now. The cramps are back, had one blood clot about an hour ago... And now i have diarrhea too (sorry if too much info)

Having a warm bath at the moment.. Seems to be helping a fair bit.

Should i bother going to the ER or just give my Doctor a call tomorrow? (by the way its currently 7pm)

Congrats !!!!!!
I would definitely go the the ER bleeding in early pregnancy is not a thing to ignore.
You are in my prayers

Congrats on your pregnancy!

I agree with Ant - go to the ER immediately. These symptoms are concerning.

Thinking of you.

As someone who saw a 7 month old women have a miscarry and spend 4 weeks off teaching (our teacher was the Preggo women) - GO TO THE DOCTOR.

She started not feeling well, and had to leave a super awesome camp we were having and leave us with the teacher - came back from the trip to hear the sad news.
7. Months.

GO. TO. DOCTOR.

Hope your feeling better. And grats on the baby! I remember your thread about not feeling well. I believe I hounded you to go to the doctors there too.

I agree with Ant. Light bleeding in early pregnancy can happen and be harmless, but bleeding and cramps needs to be investigated, just in case it requires intervention. Why don't you ring the antenatal clinic at your local hospital or, if it's not open after hours, ring the switch and tell them your fears. They'll put you through to someone who'll listen and advise you. If no one helps, then ask to be put through to the labour ward: there'll be on-duty obstetricians or nurse practitioners there to help.

Thank you Ant :)

Mmm.. It was just some clots, no proper red bleeding. You sure it warrants a visit to the ER?

Hmmm... You all have good points.. I might go with your suggestion Betrisher and call the gp helpline, then if they are concerned I'll call the maternity ward at the hospital.

Awwww spots! That's so sad! :(

Thanks MomtoPercy ^^

Congratulations!!!!! :D

I agree with Trish- I think you should call the Dr or after-hours nurse line now and let them know what's going on and they can give you a professional opinion if you should go to the hospital NOW or wait till the morning... Any sort of bleeding and/or clots with cramps are really concerning symptoms :(

Please keep us updated!!

Yes, it was devastating to everyone. That year just wasn't her year. He boy friend was out back packing, broke both his legs, went into shock and then went into a coma, and well... We never heard about him after that. I think he made it through though.

And then she had the miscarry. 46 people just from our class knew her and the baby, and everyone was devastated. She's really a great women who didnt deserve that.

Please go the hospital. Even if its a panic alarm, and nothing's really wrong, it'll give you an ease of mind.

Nuuuuu! GP helpline insist i go to the Hospital immediately. So i get off the phone, check the kids and both are absolutely knackered and in a deep sleep... Why do they always fall asleep just before i have to go out.. I can't bring myself to wake them up! They've been awake all day with no naps.. :/ i guess when my son wakes for his feed in a couple of hours i can go then.

Mmm i was worried, but the warm bath helped alot, which makes me think its nothing to fret about. BUT i will try to get it checked out as soon as i can.

Thank you Getwozzy :)

:O oh my spot! That's awful!!! I feel so sorry for her.. What a rough year D:

Well, if the GP says go to the hospital... Get going girl. Light a flame under that butt!
Why can't you leave the kids behind? Is your hubby not there? Do you have a friend who could stay the night and keep watch?

Yep. Horrible year. Very sad for everyone involved. Luckily, this year has been ~much~ better. And she has a nephew she gets to spend lots of time with, which is great, as well as a new puppy! She's going to skijor with it.

Please please go to the doctor! Even if it nothing, you owe it to that little life to be extra careful. Please please go!! :(

I'm very worried for your little one! Please go see a doctor.

Lol spot.

I don't drive... Yet (i can drive but NEVER when I'm pregnant.. I get too many sudden dizzy spells). Been on my Learners for years coz no one has been able to drive with me. Will be doing all my license stuff after baby is born. Husband drives but he has bad ulcerative colitis flaring up right now so incredibly painful and difficult to drive. Only people able to drive me or look after kids are grandparents and they've been ill lately. :/

Awww.. Good to hear she's doing ok. ^^

I'm sure it'll be ok MomtoPercy, but its just not possible anymore to go to the Docs until the morning. Hubby needs more medication to ease his pain before he can drive anywhere :/

Wasn't able to make it last night due to hubby having severe stomach pain. Haven't had any cramps or bleeding today but doctors insisted i still be seen asap. So they were able to squeeze me in to see my Doctor today (in about 10 minutes) but just my luck, my hubbys stomach pain started up again just 20 minutes ago, i thought he was just studying. Go in to tell him we need to go to the doctors and he's curled up on the bed in pain.. So I've cancelled the appointment. *holds in a great big screech of total frustration* I know hes in a lot of pain, and that i have to be seen, but he CANNOT drive in his condition.. The problem is, if i tell him i need to go he will drive me, but I'm so scared we'd end up in a car accident. Everything i try to plan ALWAYS gets foiled!!! Ugh!!! I'm just not going to bother. No more bleeding or cramps is obviously a good thing. So yep. I'll just have to be content with that.

Taxi? Family or food friend that could take you? Always better to be safe than sorry Hun! I'm sure it will all be fine but you will be a lot happier and can relax when you know for sure.

There's no point in my hubby going, hes already has colonoscopies etc. Hes got Ulcerative Colitis and its incurable. Just has times of flaring up, and then it'll go back down for a while. :/

I despise Taxis here.. Family friends are at work or too old to drive :/

If I was at work and my friend needed me for something that important as having to be seen because of concerns while pregnant, I would get her to the ER one way or another.....
