It's a thread for another very rare parrot... recently I mentioned them in "Few parrot species IUCN update" thread because recently their category was changed from "Endangered" to "Critically endangered".
Note: their taxonomy is unsure and they are a subspecies of more common double eyed fig parrots (eg. IOC World Bird List version) or a separated species (IUCN version)
They are one of the smallest Australian parrot species - they measure just 14 cm and weight 40 g. Currently there are left less than 50 mature individuals, so they are one of the rarest Australian parrots.
Note: this video is from 2018, so here they still are as "just" endangered
This one is even older - from 2017, they are as Critically endangered here because it was before changing to "endangered", so the population number isn't actual
