I was wondering, I stay up late and watch tv, if I cover my birds cage at night could I still be able to watch tv and my bird still get enough sleep? Sorry if it seems to be a dumb question.

Have you not heard? The bird is the word!

Try it and see. If you hear your bird making noise in the covered cage, you'll know its not sleeping, or if it wants to do more napping during the day.

Fargo goes to sleep at 6:30 every night, but he wont go to his cage, he goes to his 'sleeping' perch, and will stay in the EXACT same spot until i put him away..
I put a blanket over my computer and chair so he is in complete darkness, and i put my headphones in to watch my movies, he can still hear me typing, but i dont think that bothers him..

I then put him away when i go to sleep (You dont even want to know what time that is sometimes :o ), i do not cover his cage, and i have woken up early and seen him awake at about 4am, playing with his toys until i wake up.. :)

I havnt had a problem with him getting a lack of sleep with this routine and he is happy and bouncy throughout the day, but sometimes may take a little nap after being a bit hyper ;)
