My friend fell in love with my pair of BCC and that's why she searched till she found one. Price wasnt a concern to her, but I just thought it was a bit high. Her baby is very sweet and does speak a bit, so I feel she got her money's worth. My pair is about to go on nest, so she could have waited on a free baby, but she had the fever bad ! I actually havent watched Paulie, but now I guesss I must.
My pair actually talk much more than squak, but lately I cant handle them as they are protecting their territory to the death, that with staying in the nest box most of the time, I know they will lay soon. This will be their first clutch, as I took them in as a young pair, and was fostering them but fell in love and couldnt let them go.

I was just wondering as a friend just paid $750 for one and I thought that was outragously over priced.

Was he charming and tame, or aloof and distant and non-cuddly?

It's sad pet stores (that still carry this product*) neglect their birds and let them become aloof and distrusting of people. Some stores of a franchise are good, but others don't care. But the price is the same regardless. :(

* I don't treat them as "products" but these stores do. It's amazing how out of touch so many are... but before I go into any tangents...

Would you please share reputable BCC breeder names? I'm in Southern California and have been looking for a breeder in either our area, or one that ships. Thanks!

Check out birdbreeders.com and then do some checking on their names.
