Hi guys!

So, recently for christmas my brother gave me a quesadilla maker and it says its non-stick so I am assuming its teflon. Would it be ok to use it if I put my bird in another room with an air purifer and than run the oven vent? Mind you I do live in a apartment. All of my other cookware isn't non stick so I have no problems up until now. Thanks!

Honestly I would not risk it. My avian vet advised me that teflon or non stick was a top killer of house hold birds and that people do not realize that it can cause instant death once the teflon reaches temperatures where it off gasses. By the time you realize your bird is sick its almost always too late. Anything teflon or non stick was banned from my house as even used under the best circumstances has a risk I am just not willing to take.:yellow1:
