Cooking!

I just cooked up a batch of veggies and beans and brown rice. I'm chopping up a yummy fruit salad. And, I just ordered a pizza for myself!!

Anyone else's birds eat better than they do?

Oh mine definitely eat better than I do. I'll cook for them, but not much for myself. When I had a sulcata tortoise Gussie she ate only organic for the first three years of her life because that is what the vet said was the best diet for her. We gave Whole Foods a good amount of money in organic veggies purchases. I would love to feed the birds organic, but not in the budget right now.

Your dish looks amazing. I'm sure my birds would gobble that up!

That looks very similar to what Vino eats, along with her fruit, almonds etc. I also cooked her some scrambled eggs with the shell in this morning which she LOVED! She eats way better than I do

They are allowed to eat some of the shell? I didn't know that. Do you just ground it up?

ya its a source of calcium for them. I just mashed up the whole egg, shell and all

Looks like birdy tabboli salad I always tell people I eat better since I've owned a bird I always share a carrot or an apple slice with him and he only eats two wedges of an orange and he gets the fortune cookie from the Chinese takeout dinner.
