That is my hubby... We had the bird fly into our apartment about a week ago... So we put out "found flyers" and where trying to figure out what is was..

Oh, sorry. I apologize, that was a bit rude. Just thought it was kinda an odd choice of photos. Thanks for trying to figure out who his owners are. Some people microchip their birds, so it might be an idea to bring him to the vet to scan him for one. He looks to be in good health so I doubt he's gone far.

No problem at all.. it was the only pic i had :) And I have 2 dogs, we are in no place to have a bird right now... We want to find the owner if not then we will find a good home for it.

That's a senegal.

Also, while I enjoy walking around wearing nothing but a parrot as much as the next person... really now?

This made me LOL!

Ash, I hope that you're able to find the owner. It's nice of you to make the effort = )

Growing up my bff's mom had a bird and she loved that thing more then anthing... I have to try my best to get "it" back with its owner... if not then at least find it a loving home.. I am a BIG animal lover.. just in a small apartment with 2 animals is already pushing it. :D

Yes, it is a Senegal. However when people call you to claim it, make them tell you what kind of bird it is, or someone else may claim to be it's owner who isn't. Just say you found a parrot.

I didn't really mind the pic:D Once you get to be my age, most men don't look like that anymore:p

I second that Roxy. I quite enjoyed the pic ash. And I'm 31. :) Although "walking around wearing nothing but a parrot" also made me LOL. :D

Kudos to trying to find the owners. I lost a bird once and have never gotten over it. Good luck.

There's a bird in that picture,ROFL.

Hope you find the bird's owner it must belong to someone who misses it.

I know. I looked at the bird the first time. But the second and third time I clicked on the picture...not so much...

Ooh!! I love Senegals, they are so sweet!

Also, Ash, don't just "find it a good home", can I suggest finding a Parrot Rescue close to you? If you can't find the actual owners, I would advise to utilize a Parrot or Exotic Bird Rescue, as they has resources and look for good homes with either people who are willing to truly learn about the bird(s) or people who already have experience with them. And the people who go to Rescues are actively looking and not just someone who would see an ad on some place like Craigslist and go "Oh, that bird looks like" and say they'll give it a good home without knowing anything about owning a parrot and the bad scenarios go on from there :( I'd hate to see something bad happen to a bird if it can be prevented.

Oh and congrats on the Hubby ;) I'm 30 and I certainly appreciated the pecs... I mean Pic :D

Haha, well even though I was the one who made the sarcastic comment you can let him know I assumed he was much younger than 30, and I'm 20 lol.

And good luck with the bird. Hopefully his owner is looking for him. Actually, I should ask, can you tell if his wings are clipped or not? If they are his owner could very well be in your neighbourhood. Oh, and if he has a leg band it might be an idea to ask anyone who tries to claim him what the band says.

No... They are not. When "it" first flew in we actualyl contacted our apartment complex and they sent out a notice about a bird bring found, but nothing thus far... We are on the top floor in the back of the naborhood so it could have been from anywhere...

Ah, Halfinsane, your remark cracked me up though! That's the funniest thing I've seen so far today:D

But, yes, you're 20. Wait until you are in your 40s and most of the guys are bald and 70lbs overweight. Then it can make you very happy to see a beautiful young man like that:) Probably I need to get out more.

I haven't seen anything like that "bird" in ages........I had to go back and look a few times.....;)
