i have a young green cheeked conure who was hand reared and is not scared of hands but my god it hurts when he pecks and he does it a lot, ive tried distracting him with a toy or food but he just likes to peck hard (bite draws blood)
any suggestions , i rehomed a quaker parrot the conure came along with her and the quaker is over wieght but i can deal with that its this conure im not keen on

I used to have a GCC until she passed away and boooyyy she bit hard. It was her age though.. she was just going through sexual maturity and they get a bit nippy at that age!!!

this one is nine weeks old and its a shame because i know its going to draw blood im not kean on getting it out im a baby :54:

Just go slow with her and make sure to be patient. She is already fully weaned at 9 weeks? Or are you still feeding her formula?
