Conure sleeps when I'm gone

Hi all!

I'm a relatively new GCC owner here! I got my little guy about two months ago at 4 months old. He got his avian vet visit shortly after! All was well according to the vet at that time. Nothing about his behavior has changed since. He's a very active bird in and outside his cage while I am around.

Today I decided to leave a camera on to record his activities. He slept for the better part of 3 hours! Do you think this is abnormal? He eats fine, no drop in weight, poop is normal and seems normal when I'm around him.

What do ya'll think?

Sounds normal. I also nap whenever I can! As long as he is getting enough sleep at night and is active while awake I wouldn't worry unless something else changes.

Nothing to worry. When it feel idle get to sleep. Everything fine.

sounds very normal, storing that energy for the explosion of fun when you appear. also remember still a baby so lots of nap times and recharging batteries

Normal, my bird sometimes nods off on me when I'm not really doing anything and sitting still.
