Hello. My new Green Cheek Conure laid an egg...
is this normal? I don't want more than one Conure and I do not know anything about raising a baby, or even hand-feeding. I don't want to break the egg and kill it, what can I do?!

how long have you had the bird and did you get her from somewhere where she was possibly housed with males? what you could do is either replace it with a fake egg or take the egg and shake it a bit to scramble the insides to avoid any possible growth inside. if the egg is just taken the bird may just want to replace it which can be unhealthy since it takes up a lot of resources to make an egg

Female birds lay infertile eggs, just like human women have their monthly menstrual cycle, the eggs are not fertile unless your female is of-age and has mated with a male conure. If you got her as a baby from a breeder or pet shop then this isn't possible, as she wouldn't have been old enough to have mated with a male bird. If she was over a year old when you got her and she came from a place where she was living with male conures, then it's possible....However, if you've had her for longer than a month or two then it would have been too long a time period for it to have been fertile from her prior home.

***Either way, just put the egg in the freezer overnight, it will stop the embryo from developing, then just throw it away. That's what you should always do if this happens...

If she lays regularly, you'll want to be sure she has plenty of nutritious, calcium-rich foods...
I'm not expert, but here is some reading on the subject, along with other steps you may want to take.
Hopefully, a seasoned breeder will come along with more input.
