hello!
it’s been so long since i’ve been on here!
my cockatiels laid seven eggs and sadly only one was fertile and hatched.
i’m so excited for the experience of raising my own bird!!
i hand fed and raised sun conures for a friend last year and i loved spending time with the little guys
i know the typical time to pull babies for hand feeding is 3-4-5 weeks old.
i was wandering if i could pull at 6-7 weeks?
i really really want to hand feed this baby.
it’s just that my work schedule won’t allow me to hand feed more than twice a day.
i know the response i will get is going to be : just let the parents feed it.
i really don’t want to do that. i want the bonding time of hand feeding as well as the opportunity to introduce new foods as he or she is weaning.
so, is it possible? i personally don’t see why not, but, i’m no expert.
