Hi,
I'm new to the forum and had a question for other bird owners out there. I have 2 cockatiels that I've had for about a year and a half now, Darwin and Sydney. They have both always been very tame, loving and clingy.
About 2 weeks ago my male, Darwin, has recently been going crazy on me. He flips out and flys away screaming as far and as high away as possible. He only does this occassionally, particularly when I try and put him in his cage, either for bed or for bed or just throughout the day. This doesn't happen every time I try to put him away, sometimes he goes willingly and freely. Nothing major has changed in the past 2 weeks, if anything I've been around more. It seems as if he is regressing back to being a wild, untame bird.
Has anyone else had this happen, or have any suggestions to counter these panic attacks?
ps. my female tiel has been just as loving as ever with no change.
