Clothes pin for toys

So I picked up some wood clothes pins from the hardware store, and Willoughby is not too fond of them so far. Crest immediately raised, hissing and even flew away from them first. But he's coming around to them more, and hopefully they make a great toy. Anybody else use clothes pins for toys? My d2 loves to shred and pick at wood and stuff he's not supposed to. He's destroyed some picture frames and some chairs, so hopefully he has a creative outlet now!

These are metal free clothes pins. The wood may or may not be treated, because the package does say "weather proof". Thoughts?

I do stuffed wiffle balls with those.

I stick the clothespins through the holes of the wiffle ball...

I cut one section of holes on the wiffle ball, and stuff broken toys, nutriberries, and other treats in them, then hang it up in the cage using a baby C-link...

You can also use sisal rope or leather strips to hang them...

My birds pull out the clothespins and use them as foot/chew toys.

Awesome idea. Thanks for sharing! I'm planning on using some food dye to drop a couple dots on the wood to give off a vibrant look that interests my d2.
