so i have seen the you tube video and am curious if a bird is ever too old to use clicker trianing? has anyone used it for an older bird?

As far as I know its never too late to start clicker training. I have seen older birds make great progress. It may take a bit more patience but I am sure they could do it :)

Can you load the youtube video here? I would love to see it.;)

Linky here's a fantastic link, shows you what to do step by step
Started with Mishka last night, had great results after first session :D

You can buy clickers from the dollar store or pet store for pretty cheap. I have a doggy clicker that doubles as a whistle :)

Thanks for the link Ant! :D What are you using for clicking, do you do it with your mouth?

Here's a pic of my clicker. Bought it at a pet shop for R20.00

You could ask your maid to help with the clicking hehehe

A short stick is also usable, even a chopstick

Parrots are never too old to learn... I know a guy who began training his macaw with a training clickr when she was 6 yr.

I started last night and had my girls attention for almost 40 seconds! How on earth do you get a hyperactive child to sit still?

Pick a time when she is REALLY hungry, this is the best time to do it. I have tried training them when they have a full belly, and they are NOT amused lol. Try it when they are super hungry and you have a bird that will run errands for you ;)

Super hungry time will be in the morning and I dont have any time in the mornings. :(

I tried this last night, will try again tonight BEFORE dinner. Thanks.:D
