I just used a flashlight to check my sun conures eggs and they are all clear. When should I pull them out? Is there anything I can do to help them with the breeding process? They are very bonded, he feeds her, they both take care of the eggs, they preen each other. Any suggestions?

Thanks,
Mandy

How long have they've been laid? Sometimes it just take a few tries to get it right. Are you sure one is a male? Sometimes one or both might be infertile and will never give you any offspring. I would leave the eggs for her to sit for 3-4 weeks before tossing.

There are 4 eggs and the first egg was laid 27 days ago. I used a flashlight and looked at all 4 today, and they are all clear. I was told they are a proven pair, but I really don't know or have any proof. I did not DNA them. But they act like a male and female. She is always in the nest box and he comes in and out bringing her food. They are very bonded and preen each other and take care of each other. This is their first clutch for me, though, so maybe they just need to give it another shot.

I had a mated pair of tiels, and they never laid fertile eggs. =\

A lot of the time when a breeder sells you a proven or mated pair, there's usually something wrong with the pair for them to sell in the first place. I like to pair up my own birds.
