chichis going on a plane ride

Tonight me and chi chi are moveing to florida, anyone have tips for keeping him calm on the plane?. I will have him covered but I'm wondering if I shouldn't. I bought the cabbin kennel and I have his paperwork from the vet. He is always extreamly quite in the car but I don't know how how the pressure effects them. I don't mind flying but I'm nervous for how he's gonna act. Its gonna go one of two ways he's either going to not make a peep or he's gonna me going crazy. Anyone have tips??

Ive yet to fly with my bird so I dont have any advice. But good luck. Im sure things will be ok. Maybe take some of his favorite snacks, that might help if he gets upset.

Make sure he has at least one perch, and that you can bring along some soft, moist fruits (aka sprouted seeds/fruits) and, if they allow you, an extra bottle of water for him.

If he gets motion sickness, I'd recommend ginger of some sort... fresh or tea. If he gets stressed, I'd recommend chamomile tea before the trip.


Not knowing any of that, I don't know! Bring the cover along, and if he's ok, you can leave it off, if he has a fit, cover him and try to keep him calm. Never flown with a bird either, so I wish you the best of luck!

Never been in this situation, but if you can, have his favourite toy in there, something to distract him and maybe a hiding place (Such as a Happy Hut). Best of luck though!
