Chat box

On another forum I visited quite a bit for something other then parrots. They had a quick chat box at the bottom of the page were you could just post updates about your day in is case your birds. This was used if you didn't have the time to post. Full thread and kept the forums very active. You can also post links to threads so they could get feedback. It was very much a time saver if you just wanted to drop in and say hey and what your birds have been like without having to make a full on thread.

Something like this would be at the bottom of the website and you would just type a message and post it kinda like a instant message system.

We have had this suggestion previously on the forum.
We are here to post and reply to threads, assisting all members.
Moderators workload is busy enough.

A chat box can get extremely out- of- hand, members arguing etc.

Many members agreed to chat on FB, which is working 100%.
