He's very cute! His feathers look a little scruffy though, is that normal for militaries?

Working on stepping up . He doesn't want to come off the cage . We played ball and he loved that

That's good, give him time to settle in! As long as he's not aggressive I'd think bonding with him and training would he relatively easy.

Nice lively looking eye, and once he settles in will be a fine companion for you.

Congratulations on acquiring him! I love Macaws! He's a good looking boy. I'm sure he'll like that nice big cage. Be sure to look at Birdman666's posts here on the macaw forum, there is invaluable information in his posts. If he's not aggressive that's a very good sign that he'll be easy to earn trust with.

Congrats again!

He will put his beak on me and i just tell him no bite . I don't pull away because im not letting him think he is the boss or has me scared

I once knew a Military quite well back in New Mexico. He was the most mischievousuccessful prankster! He would run and knock drinks over, fly away with pencils, mimic different peoples' voices saying STOP IT, MAX (his name).
He was a brat. Maybe your guy will get a chance to be spoiled, thanks to you, whatever that may mean for HIS personality.
