Cere colour change

So I've got my two female budgies, but I've noticed a cere colour change in one. i'm not too concerned about it because she's otherwise healthy and it doesn't look like scaly face or anything horrible. she's just getting a slight blue tinge and I wasn't wondering if this was due to a hormonal change, an early warning sign of a disease or something.
sorry about the lack of photo but she's currently hiding in my hair and I wouldn't want to disrupt her from her cosy place.
:blue2:

Without a photo, I'd guess she's going out of breeding condition. :)

Hens can get blue-ish ceres. Usually white with blue, or white with blue and tan, and that's normal.

does this happen at any particular age? I don't know how old my girl actually is so ima be hunting for clues.

As long as they aren't recessive pieds, you might be able to age them by their eyes. However, once they are adults, you can't guess at their age.

0 - 4 months of age : no irises
4 - 6 months of age : dark-grey irises
6 - 8 months of age : mid-grey irises
8 +++ of age : pale-grey irises

Are you sure she is in fact a she? If so, then females can have a bluish tint to the cere.

As far as I know females can have light blue cere. It sounds totally normal to me. Does she have white around her nostrils? I have two babies who I think are both boys, and their ceres started just changing in color (purple to blue). I always thought the cere color change was normal - let's see what the experts say. :)
