Finally got some semi decent pics of my ball python! She's been popping out for food lately but once you get around that she's as friendly as ever. I kept having to push her back onto the blanket with my foot while trying to snap pics of her....she was very tolerant:D

Catty has been around for 12 years now just like my boa.

Catty is beautiful Victoria :). I love her markings with the shaded lights and darks.

She's a very pretty normal girl! Some of the morphs in ball pythons are just crazy anymore and of course I've tortured myself by looking:rolleyes:

I've actually done some research about IBD the disease I am worried my guys might carry. Turns out they invented a test for it a couple years ago. So I contacted one of the shelter vets to see if they could do some research into the testing for me on accuracy and such. If it comes back with decent accuracy I'm going to have my boa and python tested. Hopefully they would come up negative and I can once again add boas and pythons to my group! In the research I've done it seems no snakes have lasted over 6 years after being exposed to the disease but I'm still not sure on carriers of it. Hoping the vet comes back with information that I can trust instead of just google searches!

So awesome, funny, my ignorance has almost put me on the front page, Orlando Sentinel, rescuing what I thought was an awesome king snake (coral), twice!

Hopefully they have an accurate test by now. Wow! I just googled Ball Python color morphs and I'm drooling over the amazing colors and patterns available! Absolutely gorgeous. I wouldn't be able to pick just one. I bet some of those colors can get pretty pricey.

I love ball pythons, they have great temperments and I've seen some great morphs too.

I'm also a big fan of Sand Boas, I love their head shape, and it's nice because they don't get quite as big as other boas.

One of my fondest moments at my old retail pet store job, was someone coming in with their fully grown Red tailed boa. Was perfectly content around your shoulders and arms, very docile, most of us handled it that day and it was perfectly calm.

The balls have some pricing issues because of how many breeders got into the game. A lot of the morphs that should be priced high are quite low or it takes a short period of time for the price to drop. They can still be quite pricey though.

Red tails are generally calm boas. My girl is trustworthy with everyone even kids with the grabby hands. I'm not big on sand boas not sure why but never got the appeal of that one myself. Though I was never big on colubrids before but now I've got plenty of those...
