Sully - eclectus (June 2016)
I'm a new Eclectus owner and I just wanted to introduce Captain Sullybirder ("Sully") to everyone. He is ~6 months old and is settling in nicely to his new home. I look forward to learning more from everyone here that has more experience with these amazing birds!

Just the name gets him off to a great start. Make this an ongoing Sully thread, and post in it regularly to keep us up to date!

It seemed fitting for this cool and collected fellow. I look forward to keeping ya'll updated on my adventures of being his new slave. :)

Sully!

Love it...
From the movie... "Brace, brace, brace! Heads Down! Stay down!"

We actually say this when the Rickeybird's on the loose, too!

Welcome!

Beautiful Eclectus, love the name! Hopefully he can land in water as gracefully as Sully's Airbus!! :D

Whelp, today Sully bird was agreeable to step up for me after a few attempts when i came home from work and he was very energetic today. His wings are clipped but you could tell he was ready to explore. He would jump off my hand and glide to the ground and then take off running like a crazy little man and then climb up anything he could come to. He DID NOT like me trying to interrupt his crazy adventures by picking him back up and perhaps now he's being a bit moody because of it. He hasn't wanted anything to do with me for the rest of the evening. So me and my Sun Conure Tiki are playing at my desk while Sully can observe from his cage. *sigh* This patience thing is hard with the trust building when I just want him to see what fun we could have :) I just have to remind myself that he's entitled to have "had enough" and I can try again tomorrow. Crazy Tiki is happy that Sully's attitude means more play time for him :)

I love the visual, but let's all promise not to try this very demanding type of landing with this Sully! :D

Look forward to your updates!!!

Loving the name more and more.
He just LOOKS like a Sully. Mr. Cool. Needs somed dark glasses and a little Sully-stache.

Welcome to you and Captain Sullybirder both! Given some time, you probably won't be able to get Sully off of you! So tell Tiki to enjoy these extra moments while he can. Lol!

What a great name:D. Looking forward to seeing Sully grow up
