My bird really likes the crunch of seeds do I thought cereal would be good, but I wanted to know what kinds and if Honey-comb was okay to give them

Hello Navi and welcome to the PFs, glad you joined.

No, sugary cereal is no good. I'm not sure if 'Honeycombs' has real honey in the ingredients? But, do not give your bird honey. Raw honey has bacteria that causes Botulism and severe neurological damage and death in infants.
I'm pretty sure it will also be lethal to birds.

Short answer is NO human type breakfast cereal is safe. Read the ingredients - anything with Sugar, or other sweeteners, or fortified with vitamins (which are human specific) are not good for your GCC.

Also the added vitamins can be to high for a bird, and cause problems. I have heard you could use one or two pieces of cereal as a treat now and then. But it shouldn't be a part of their diet.

The only dry cereal I feed my birds is Cheerios as occasional treat. No more than perhaps 3 or 4 pieces per week.

On the other hand, cooked cereal is often loved. Most of my flock enjoys plain cooked oatmeal, served at room temperature. Oatmeal is also a terrific conduit for giving medicines when sick.

I would suggest cereal like Cheerios, plain Chex or plain Wheaties! No sugar in them and they have a nice crunch. I would only serve them as treats though and not as a food staple.

No-sugary and full of fortified/added vitamins in amounts too large for birds (designed for humans).
I wouldn't do any fortified cereal---period..A single piece one a week might be okay, but not daily on anything fortified...Not even every other day...especially in a bird so small.
