Can anyone recommend a good zon-excorcist?

I've tried all of that, Kiwi :( He will bite my arm as merrily as my hand and he's almost as afraid of a glove as he is of a stick (ok, not that bad but still enough to render the glove plan a no-go). The treat thing doesn't work either as he just sticks his nose in the air if I move it out of reach as if saying "stick it where the sun don't shine, lady! I'm NOT stepping up!"

I will give him time to come around but once this zon-madness-spell is over, I'm starting on some desensitising with a step up stick. I've researched the topic extensively and I think we can do it, with lots of time of course.

I wonder what has made Percy so stubborn all of a sudden? That must be so frustrating for you:( You try so hard with him, and he is just being a naughty little thing. Perhaps with the stick thing, perhaps try wrapping one in a bright color vet tape or something so he wouldn't necessarily have the same negative association with it as the plain wood one. Do you think that might work? I bet you wish you could give the sorry excuse of a human being who made poor Percy fearful of the stick a reason to fear it themselves. What a terrible thing to do to a bird:mad:! I wish I could get my hand on them, with a stick in the other. I go out of my way to regularly pick Kiwi up on the stick, even when he's behaving himself, and always praise him when he's on it. That makes it just another part of his routine so he never associates it with a punishment when it's actually necessary.

I hope you make some progress with Percy or the winds on Venus shift (or whatever he's mad about) so he's happy again;)

Edit: Didn't you say this foul behavior started yesterday? And in another post you say you passed out from heat exhaustion after 2 days of unusually hot weather? Percy may be grumpy because he's hot. Heck, I get grumpy when I'm hot. I wonder if Percy will be nicer once this heat wave has passed?

I've told this story before, but it bears repeating.

Years ago, for halloween, I dressed up in full on devil makeup and gear, complete with a realistic set of horns...

I came out like that, just as a test to see what would happen.

Well, the macaws recoiled in horror. It spooked the hell out of my CAG, and my conures, who were ready to attack...

BUT my amazons were eye pinning, vocalizing, and tail flaring, and doing courting dances, and couldn't seem to get enough of the "new me." Which, perhaps confirms the suspicion a lot of folks have about amazons...

I had a similar experience with my umbrella too for the past two days and I was also looking for an exorcist or a good psychiatrist, for me and my too, then when I stopped laughing at all the jokes in this thread, I realized that I started feeding Popeye a new foraging mix last week, just for grins I checked the ingredients and sure enough it has hemp seeds, he's probably never had them before. I think we'll have a new menu today, but in the meantime, if you run into an exorcist can you get me a referral and send him to Texas? Now that I think about it though, he was full of energy and he was having a great time.

LOL! Its those dang hemp seeds, I tell ya! Percy is almost back to normal now and its been 3 days since his last 'fix' ;)

I think I will be brave and try the hemp seeds again in about a weeks ttime, when he is completely back to his normal crazy level :)
