Nobody is gonna want Blinky, but I have to try before we move at the end of the month.
We rescued her from an awful situation a year ago - my BOSS of all people!.
I had all her vetwork done, teeth cleaned - she lost 12 teeth because they were so black. She's a fun-loving little girl, eagar to please and crate trained. She has lived in an apt situation with us the past yr with no behavior problems. She is house and leash trained. She comes when called.
She is missing one eye from neglect. Sees great out of other eye. She will lay at your feet for hours, happy to be around humans despite the obvious abuse she's suffered. Blinky is truly a saint in dog's clothing.
Unfortunately, I lost my job yesterday so we are moving in with my folks at the end of this month. They dont allow any pets. We've found homes for the ferrets and cats, but Blinky is a special case. I dont want to dump her at the pound, SPCA, etc. Nobody is gonna want an old, one-eyed Beagle.
Bluebonnet Beagle Rescue in Houston already blew me off because Blinky isnt a cute, cuddly puppy. Told me they couldnt take her because she "had too many problems". I guess being a mature one-eyed family dog is a death sentence if you're a Beagle.
Please, PLEASE prove me wrong.
If I can't get her placed by the end of the month, I will have her humanely euthanized rather than sit at the pound and possibly another abusive home.
She comes with nice crate, collar and leash, Proplan dog food/bowls and crate towels. I will make $100 donation with her surrender.
Thanks in advance.
