Judging from Rosie's wing position I would say she was a bit hormonal this morning. She decided to fly to her stand by the window and call all the boys!! This is a first for her. She will soon be 3 years old and I guess it is time.

I'm still learning but what is it about the wings? is it because they are crossed over in the back? She is adorable!

She is beautiful! How is she when your windows are open and she can actually hear bird sounds from outside? Although you probably have several already in your home. But, if not,,,does she react, does she listen, closely? I remember when Amigo was first exposed to these sounds, at that time, new for him, and it seemed like sensory overload for a while. He would dance and dance and dance and...on and on.

He is now a part of the outdoor flock and loving every minute of it. Thankfully, he's decided that the woodpeckers can not be part of his flock, woodpeckers do real havoc on a wood house! Plus...they really make him mad when they get near his hole in the oak!

Merlin also knows quite a few wild bird calls. I'm surprised I don't have more of them coming to the window, lol! So far it's just been the woodpecker that loved when Briana my BCC talked to her. And I haven't seen it for a few days (though hear it in the maple tree out front), so it knows Bri is gone now.

Rosie is a doll! Thanks for the video as it brightened my morning!

The wings crossed in back are her flight feathers. Hormonal activity is indicated with the wings being held away from her body and she is in a low position. I seldom listen to TV. Many of those sounds she just invented. I have nasty tree allergies so I do not open my windows. The one time I did Rosie bit a small hole in the screening material which was not metal thank goodness.
