Caique food

I have been looking online for the best diet and place to purchase for caiques. I see there are many different types of seed, nuts, fruits, veggies and pellets. The place I bought Oliver from I also bought food, a little pricey, and not sure if what they sold me was a must or just them making money. I know they need a staple of pellets, nuts, fruits, veggies, where do you all purchase your foods from and for anyone out there who owns caiques, what exactly do you have in you daily diets and where do you purchase if online.

Take any issue or topic which interests you, and use the Search Tab to read, read, read about it. I do that a lot. The people here are an amazing source of information, advice, and support. I'm glad you found this place!
Second- DIET
I love Harrison's, supplemented by fresh healthy treats. My first and current avian vet recommended it. My bird loves the pellets now, but to get him converted, my avian vet suggested putting pellets out all day, and putting seeds (his old diet) out for two 15-minute periods a day. That would sustain him but leave him hungry. He was eating pellets in a couple of days, and now I can feed a good variety of other stuff, knowing he has the pellets as a basic.

I'm sure there is specialized stuff about Caiques that others will pass along. I'm sure they'll encourage getting an avian vet for your daring, if you don't already have one.

I think I may have found an all-in-one bird food! Could someone please confirm my findings? Or some of you may use it yourselves. I have been searching for something like this to save money, without having to spend $50 a month on food on three or four different things. Or is three or four different things more preferred for them? My thinking is, separation of food leads to favoring a certain food and not even attempting the other foods. So I thought an all-in-one is a good thing.
