hehe lol yes I havent been on this site for a while.

Mad gang suddenly got active. Results so far : 11 eggs, 2 chicks, another 2 eggs candle as fertile, due in the next week, 4 WBC eggs untested yet, due in december and one pair with no eggs yet.

Oh my gosh! They are precious! Very sweet gift.

We would love it if you keep sharing new photos of the little ones and future little ones.

I LOVE baby birds!!!!!!! I had to give up most of my tiels due to dust reasons and I kept getting respiratory infections and such. I hated that I had to do it but there would be only 2 tiel left by the end.... :(

I'm gonna have to get with my breeder friends and ask them to give me babies to hand feed...lol

I am v healthy but on long term meds after an operation, so bird dust is out for me too. That's why I picked rainforest birds. They have no dust and oil their feathers from a preen gland instead

I know, but I fell in love with Cockatiels years ago as they were my first love. But to have more cages and more birds, my partner would flip....lol....We'll see down the road if I were to have just one mating pair of other types of parrots cause I really do miss having the babies to hand feed and train.

Day 11 - babies stuffed with food and almost the same size

Super sweet update!!! :D I'm cooing and cahing over here!! Absolutely precious little ones!!! :smile015:

I did the day by day pictures of the last baby I handfed. I started taking pictures of him from day one. It's a good growth journal to have. CUTE baby!!! :)

So bittersweet for me. My most adorable, sweet and ridiculous WBC passed away on November 24th. Miss my little dude sooo much. After 4 months of treatment, he did not respond to his illness (yet undetermined) and I gave him sanctuary by having him put to sleep. Worst day of my life! Sadly missed, my little Kiki.

Bad news. Found both babies cold in the nest on Sunday. Youngest dead. After a panic you cant imagine I saved the other one. popped him in an incubator and managed to get his little digestion system going.

Hes very strong and SHOUTS for food. But losing the little one is a real blow. Very rare birds, 4 years effort to get this far, every chick is important

Heres the survivor yesterday

I'm so sorry that you lost one....my god is that baby loud, I thought it sounded like a old toy I used to play with when I was young, the penguin tower cause it makes the same sound if I remembered right....lol

Lol so its incubator and hand feeding now. The little one bounces round that incubator. I hear him banging away at his little nestie in there.

Hes sleeping through the night now, a good feed lasts him 7 hours. Hopefully its only routine from here

I'd take that 7 hr feeding over the hourly....lol....I can't wait to see him grow up! :)

Oh, JP, I am SO sorry. :( Just now seeing your update. I am so very sorry you lost one of the super precious ones!! That had to have been utterly devastating.

Is the sibling still bouncing around in the incubator and doing well?

Wendy, Losing the little guy was like getting kicked in the stomach, several times. Then I had to pick myself up very quickly and fight to save his elder sibling.

Hes very much alive, VERY Loud, and thumps around his little pod in the incubator like a kangaroo!
