Parrotlet
I am picking up my 8 week old parrotlet very soon, within a week. I had decided a very large cage would be fun and I could fill it up with toys.
But, the breeder told me, no…..get a flight cage and out her on one side-(it can be divided) then open both sides to her after a couple of weeks.
does this sound logical ? This is the cage I ordered upon her suggestion.

im very excited, and looking forward to bonding with Her (Unnamed yet)
~ she is pied green. see photo below.
any suggestions are welcome! In the mean time,..I am reading and watching instructional videos.
hoping I don’t get bitten too much !

She might be less intimidated if she has a smaller area to discover at first, but then, yes, give her all the space! You can start off with the full size of the cage, too. It shouldn't make a huge difference, if any. She's gorgeous, by the way :)

Thank you. Thank you. I was a volunteer at Audubon handling Raptors. My good friend was the director at the time.
He rescues snowy owls and every year he tries to let me release one.
(they are so awesomely beautiful! ! I loaded the wrong photo, so I’ll be changing it to one I like better. Lol)

That sounds like an incredible experience!
