Cage size for green cheek?

I have that cage, Danigrrl39. The bird I rescued, Mango, came w/that cage. It's nice.

That cage looks wonderful!

I've been researching into what cages to buy for my new conure. Trying to weigh the costs and pros and cons. How do you like that one?

To be honest with you, its huge, but very very nice and well built.
I also only paid $250 CAD for it, tax in.

I did make a small change, adding the rope for better grip ( i was mainly bored ) but i like how it looks :)

I recommend a cage size of 16" x 16" x 18" (inches) for green cheek. If you can provide and cage with large living room then it would be much more better.

You can find cages here, Bird cages and stands

I used sturdy plastic zip ties to cinch closed the open top on mine. My bird can't chew through the zip ties, so there's no way that he can get it open. I never open the top. I just liked the Victorian style of mine and it was able to get it at an amazing discount.

Just a word of caution... open top cages like that can pose a hazard from inside or outside of the cage....

Some of the larger species have managed to open the top of the cage from the inside, however, end up getting stuck, never being able to get anything more than their head past the top.... I've heard more sad stories than I cared to hear...

From the outside, some of these doors are easy enough to knock closed, even with a perch "wedged" between the openings. If a bird is sitting on that perch and decides to take off, but can't fly, there could be potential danger there, too...

Is a cage that's 20L 20W 38H be acceptable for a gcc? I found a cage that I liked and I was worried that it might be too small
