Ok, so I am cage shopping. What is a good size? The one I got when I bought Peaches, I think is two small, it's 18.5 x 20 x 29. It was the biggest one in the pet store where I bought her.

I have been looking all over the Internet and I am having a hard time picking out what I want.

What kind of cage dose your gcc like? Can you maybe post a pic or link.
Any good toy suggestions?

Peaches still won't let me hold her, but I think she is worming up! I got her to come half way to me! We talk together all day, and she will call back if I say her name. She still won't eat out of my hand. We are working on it.

Oh, I would like to keep the cage under $300 if possible....:green2:

Go to amazon and type in prevue pet products wrought iron flight cage with stand F040. It is only $120!!!!
This is the cage I just ordered, it is a great buy and is cheap considering how big it is. And I know of several pepeople on this forum with this cage.

No problem, I wouldn't want to over spend, so neither should other people.

I am also going to order that cage...eventually. Just dropped $60 on toys though so the new cage will have to wait awhile. Our cage is like 2 ft by 2 ft. It's a pretty decent sized cage but she has her door open almost all day and I like to carry her with me most the time too. So eventually when your baby gets more comfortable with you she'll be out of her cage more and it won't be so bad if it's a little tight. I would keep her old cage though incase you ever travel with her. We are looking for a smaller travel cage for JJ since we'll be going to South Carolina in the summer and will probably end up having to bring her with.

Rio mom that's a nice cage but it isn't bigger than mine but it is $100 more. But it does look more appealing.

That is the one I am leaning towards, it looks plenty big enough and it's well under my budget so I can get new toys!

thank you :green2:

I just want to make sure she has plenty of room until she gets used to me.

Your welcome, I'm sure if you get that cage your gcc will love you forever. I ordered it and it should be here tomorrow, I hate waiting!

I thought small conures weren't supposed to have 3/4 bar spacing.

I haven't heard that. If linnies are supposed to be fine with 5/8 spacing I don't see why a larger bird wouldn't be fine with 3/4 (6/8). Also CBCs are slightly stockier than GCCs.

Oh ok. I have mine in a 5/8 cage.

I love my cage and I got it on ebay for $80! if you go to ebay you can type in:
Parrot Bird Cage Cages Amazon African Grey Small Parrot #0104

OR lets see if this link works:

the cage dimensions are: 20"x20"x34". Mine seems plenty big for Midori.

Nope same thing.

You are absolutely right! I know from experience that both GCCs and Crimsons can put half their body through 3/4" bar spacing!

Ah ha, I knew it.lol
