Cage + baby bird = ???

I put mine on the bottom but I didn move him in a cage till he was 2 to 3 months. I got him when he was 3 weeks unweaned, good luck. I'm not sure what your level of experience is with hand feeding but I suggest giveing some bene bac gel

Don't worry too much......I take my babies away from the parents after they get their first pins. They should be warm enough at this point to hold their body temp ok, but it is best to have deep shavings (NOT cedar, pine, no dyes). For a single baby it is also best to either get a cuddle hut OR if you must use a soft toy/cloth. If you use a cloth, make sure they can get out!

Keep them in a smaller room with NO drafts. For the young ones I even cover a corner of their small aquarium/cage. With a smaller space like this, it should definitely keep them warm.

My breeder friend who taught me raises TONS of different babies like this & we've both had lots of success.

Feel free to message me if you ever want another opinion, especially on babies. There just isn't a lot of research out there.

You will do just fine and you will be proud of the job you've done...we are all pulling for you...
