What a great morning today has started out with. Buzz started whistling, talking and mimicking at 6:30 this morning and hasn't stopped. He's also been playing with his toys. I had to upgrade toys to blocks and wood because he loves to destroy and he loves his bell toy. Seeing and hearing him, he seems pretty happy but still has not stepped up for me and I haven't pushed him. I'm glad to see him opening up.

But.... He has a pushy stalker. I placed his cage next to Venus'. This morning I let her come out to eat her food on her playtop. Several minutes went by, I was working and turn to look at Buzz (who was whistling at me) and found Miss Priss sitting on top of Buzz's cage. I snapped a pic before making her step up which she refused. She just laid her beak on my hand. Even though nothing happened, I'm moving cages around again so Venus is not next to Buzz, but I'm so happy Buzz is becoming more vocal and coming out of his shell.

Good to see Buzz is opening up! It must be interesting hearing all the words and sounds he knows. Has he picked up anything new from your house yet? That's funny how Venus comes over :).

Lol !! Looks like someone likes him :)

Do I see a potential friendship forming? Perhaps the ever confident Venus would help bring him out of his shell a bit. Monkey see, monkey do!

He has been barking repeating my pug Lola perfectly. This morning I heard her bark by me but she was across the room, lol. He was saying hello in a low male voice, now he does it in a male voice and female voice. He's got this thing with the word "meow". He doesn't meow, he says meow and he loves saying it. Since moving him into the living room with Buddy and Venus he has really opened up. He repeats all of Buddy's sounds and they play the whistle game with each other.

And I'm hoping a friendship will form but Venus is bossy and hard headed. If given the chance, she'd slip in his cage to try to run him out so I am very fearful to let them too close together. He just started playing with his toys, Venus has started playing some again. I'm hoping he will come out of his cage soon especially since he sees Venus out.

Cute photo, Tracey! It's nice to hear Buzz is feeling comfortable enough to be vocal and play with toys. He's making wonderful progress. It's a shame poor Buzz has to deal with a stalker but at least his stalker is a real beauty. Naughty Venus, you should admire your handsome flock mate from a respectful distance.

I hope that Venus is being friendly and not territorial towards Buzz. It would be great if they develop a flock type friendship. If she turns into the Big Boss Mamma lording it over the new kid on the block, it may make for some interesting times ahead.
