Buttfeathering

We have a local bird centre 3 miles from my home, https://www.wwt.org.uk/wetland-centres/martin-mere/ which every year we get huge amounts of geese arriving, for maybe 3 weeks the geese fly above my house, in the V formation heading for it, its amazing to watch. Some V's are huge with hundreds of geese, I also see V's with maybe 3 or 4 birds which have clearly broken away from the main formations. They also seem to communicate with each other too so day and night I hear them. I am amazed at the journeys some birds make on a yearly basis and also how they can navigate to exactly the same spot each and every year. Nature is awesome.
