Buttercup died

It was very quick, she died right in in front of mine and Sarahs eyes.

we had removed her from the cage to administer something to help her and after she was placed back in the cage, she flopped around a little the her eyes closed and stopped breathing....it was that fast.

Sarah & I looked at each other in disbelief. I said to Sarah "did she just die???"
Sarah had tears in her eyes, and her reply was 'I think so mom"

I gently picked her up, and she was soooooo soft.

how sad and unforgivable that a bird should only have a 3 year life span due to someones neglect.

Trust me, the store is going to get a mouthful from me tomorrow.
I'm sad Buttercup died, but it was for the best, she was suffering so terribly, and was just too far gone.
this is just sick!!!

I just posted in the other section about Buttercup before reading the news. Oh my...I am tearing up and feel your pain so deeply. You did your best for that little bird and I know she knew you were trying to help her.

I hope this example and what you have gone though can help set the practices in that pet store to the right. It IS sick!

Joaquin, Diego and Mihijo will welcome Buttercup with open wings and help her cross over the rainbow bridge and help her adjust to the other side.

My thoughts are with you today Beth and with your daughter. Please take care.
