My budgie Azalea has been sneezing quite a bit lately and i wanna make sure shes not sick. Is she allergic to something?

If she's sneezing a lot, especially if it's wet (Nothing like getting wet bird snot all over ya... yick), it could be an infection. Especially if there's a deep tail bob (Different from a slight bob when birds normally breathe). Might want to consider a vet visit juuuuust in case.

They say birds can be allergic and I believe it but how do they determine what they're allergic to is a mystery to me. In humans they do blood tests and/or skin sensitivity tests but I can't imagine drawing enough blood from a budgie to perform tests or doing skin tests on feathered skin.

I think one of my cockatiels is allergic to my house rabbit. When theyre in the room together she’ll sneeze more than normal.

Dry climate can make them sneeze as well as molting time.

One of my budgies is allergic to pine shavings ( the kind used as bedding for small animals). I can’t use them for my guinea pigs, who share a room with the birds . He will sneeze like crazy but otherwise be totally normal, healthy, and energetic. I agree with the above that if it’s a wet sneeze or your bird seems unwell in any other way, then an infection is likely. But if it’s just the sneezing, it could be allergies to something; dust, pollen, fresh paint etc. Maybe think about anything that’s changed in her environment that could be causing the sneezing. Hope your bird feels better soon ❤️

Aspen shavings are a better choice than pine for bedding. In my opinion.

Yes, birds can be allergic to foods, and environmental things. Identification of item is mainly observation. As above determine if it's wet or dry sneezing. When in doubt check with your avian vet.
