Thought it was time that I got some of Bucc posted. I've been adding bits and pieces to his toys and on his chain I stuck a bell. It took him a few minutes to realise that the bell didn't belong, and only a couple of seconds to destroy it.

Whats this here then..........................

don't worry Mum I'll get it for you.......................

At the moment he isn't my friend. It seems that all his jealousy over Kito he has decided to take out on me. Which is better really, but I'm not allowed to touch him, not even to get him out of the cage, If I dare get to close he is gonna get me as today proved. I've got a lovely chunk taken out of my Thumb, I'll never learn :D Well I'm sure that he'll get over it in time. We still have our play time but at the moment I have to be real careful if I want to come away with all my fingers attached to my hand. He is realising that Kito is no threat to our releationship he's just making me suffer for bringing in such a strange creature, who can't even fly or talk or climb :D And he dares call himself a CAG.

ha ha yeah Misty has never forgiven me since I had to give her that medicine. I almost have to get my dad to get her out of the cage cuz she loves him but puffs and hisses and bites at me and won't step up anymore. On the other side my sweet Sidney likes me better than anyone else! (there's this girl I really don't get along with and she was over at our house the other day and he flat out refused to step up on her :)) momma's bird! Now if I could only get him to stop screeching when I leave the room we are running low on pecans to appease him :) gotta love our FIDS personalitys!

Now if I could only get him to stop screeching when I leave the room ...

Well, Kelli, when you figure that one out will you let me know 'cause I am still trying to get Hamlet from screeching when I flush the toilet ... :25:

OMG that's what really sets Sidney off like nothing he just goes balistic when I flush the toilet maybe it's a conure thing I just like to joke and say he must of seen someone do it to a fish once :) and has insecurity issues down

ahah thats funny! so can Bucc talk? how easy/hard is it for greys to learn to talk? i've heard from a bunch fo people and sites that greys are like the eintstiens of the bird the group basicly and they pickup words really fast.but i just wanted to here from someone who has one lol.

You gotta enjoy birds and their mood swings. :D

Yeah, he hasn't been to bad today but I'm still not allowed to touch him. He'll get over it though :D

Meghan, yes Bucc can talk. They really do pick up words very quickly, he is now saying "Hello Kito" first thing in the morning, then when he comes out he will say "hello fella". We have to be so careful of what we say in the house now, otherwise he's gonna pick it up. The kids went through a stage of calling either each other idiots, then one day I dropped Bucc's water as I was taking it out of the cage, he looked at me and said "Oh you idiot". It was so hard not to laugh at him so I made a rapid exit to the kitchen. He hasn't said it now for quite a while. I guess they really are the einsteins of talking, in as far as picking up words quickly. But there are some out there who never say a word.

Meghan, this link is just for you, you want to see what a grey is capabile of ... here you go, I mean, he's no Bucc, but I don't have a link for Bucc's vocal abilities ...

Have been showing this to Bucc and guess what I'll be doing for the rest of the day!!!!!!!! He loved it and started talking and blowing kisses to the Birdie. :D :D

Sidney's getting closer to talking he makes more human babbling noises instead of just quaks and screehes. How's Ham coming along Tex? haven't heard an update on him in a while

How's Ham coming along Tex?

Nothing yet ... still just the honks, chirps and screams ... but the other night the fiancee and I heard him in his cage making really wierd/different sounds ... when we went over to the cage to make sure he was alright (you know, different noise you check on them) and he stopped. He was in his hut just kinda hanging out ... we walked away and he started again ... maybe he was practicing ... who knows what is going to happen, but let me tell you this, it will not be from a lack of effort on our part!
